ARENES DE LUTECE

Built at the beginning of our era, the Lutetia Arena is the oldest monument in Paris.

This amphitheater could hold 15,000 spectators. Unused since the Middle Ages, it was rediscovered and partially restored in the 19th century. It is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, close to the Jardin des Plantes (with its zoo, menagerie, botanical garden, and Museum of Natural History) and the Grand Mosque of Paris, where you can enjoy a cup of tea with oriental pastries. Not far from there, you can stroll through the narrow streets to the Place de la Contrescarpe.
